CAA Commences Audit of PIA Ground Handling Services at Karachi Airport

Under the audit, CAA inspectors are reviewing various sections at Karachi’s Quaid-e-Azam International Airport.
The inspectors are checking passenger check-in procedures and evaluating the responsiveness of PIA employees.
PIA audits at the Islamabad and Lahore airports have already been completed.
The aviation regulator conducts these audits to ensure compliance for the airline’s international flight operations.
Yesterday, PIA has suspended an air hostess after mobile phone and smartwatches were recovered from her possession.
PIA suspended the air hostess, identified as Samera Aftab, who had arrived in Karachi from the Canadian city of Toronto aboard flight PK-784 a few days ago.
The PIA vigilance department submitted an incident report to the airline’s HR department.
Following the suspension, the PIA administration has launched a formal investigation into the matter.
