PESCO Ends Free Electricity Units for Employees, Introduces Cash Allowances

The PESCO Board of Directors approved the transition to monetize power benefits for company staff. PESCO also issued an official breakdown of the monthly compensation rates:
Grade 17: Rs 15,858 per month (replacing 450 free units)
Grade 18: Rs 21,996 per month (replacing 600 free units)
Grade 19: Rs 37,954 per month (replacing 880 free units)
Grade 20: Rs 20 officers will receive Rs 46,992 per month (replacing 1,100 free units)
The monetization policy remains subject to rules, regulations, and conditions outlined under directives from the Federal Power Division.
